I ran across a sweet little video from retro songstress of the moment, Lana Del Rey, for her second single, “Blue Jeans”. The song is a pulsing, moody tune full of breathy vocals and thumping bass, and was the first song that I heard from Del Rey (I was instantly hooked). The live video she just released seriously accents those qualities, as well as adding a serious dose of sex appeal and fuzzy blues guitar (which does make it more sensual and less aggressive than the original). Filmed in an uber retro style, Del Rey rocks some tiny cut offs, huge hoops and bare feet, and the guitarist (whomever he is) makes sweet sweet music with an absolutely gorgeous guitar. It’s a simple classy video, just how I like it.
