The ever popularity gaining Azaelia Banks is gearing up to release her new mixtape Fantasea, and in anticipation she’s dropped a little teaser. “Nathan” hits on all of the things that Azaelia continues to do so well – rapping lightning fast over a slick beat, dropping disses and verbage like whoa. Adding in Styles P for a verse makes for a nice pairing – though I’d argue most fans would probably prefer more Azaelia (but it’s okay, we’ve got the whole mixtape to look forward to!). And the grimy, jumpy beat is a sure fire winner – props are definitely in order for Scottish instrumentalist Drums of Death for this one. Now – the only question I have is … who is Nathan, and what does it mean to be “getting Nathan”? Is it good or bad? Or is it just a sign that I’m getting older that I’m not up on this new slang…?
