Take one part Cee-Lo’s “F**k You”, add two parts Chiddy Bang, shake vigourously and you have one hot remix

Well, what do you know? Chiddy Bang are back for our remixing pleasure. This time they actually did more of a mash up than a remix. On their version of Cee-Lo Green‘s “Fuck You“, they layered a nice heavy beat over the lighter soul original beat, as well as added their own verses. Oh, and they sped up the chorus to almost Chipmunk levels, which would normally bug the crap out of me, but here TOTALLY works. Brilliant. These guys are just brilliant. They should totally put together an album of their remixes because lately everything they touch turns to gold.

Silky Smooth Folk Rock Ryan Bingham and the Dead Horses ‘Junky Star’ is a breath of fresh country air

Perhaps you remember a movie last year that got a lot of Oscar buzz, Crazy Heart, starring Jeff Bridges. The score to the movie was all heart ache, dusty road and guitars, but sometimes that is just about the only thing you want to hear before bed or on a hot day while drinking a beer and laying in the sun. Luckily for me my lovely mother, whom I will naturally refer to as Momma Wolf, just happened to hear some Ryan Bingham and the Dead Horses (who won the Oscar for Best Original Song for “The Weary Kind”, the theme to Crazy Heart) on NPR a couple of days ago, and suggested I check them out. Sure glad I did! This is one great folk singer!!

Ryan’s got some raw vocals that make it sound like he’s been smoking for forty years (though he looks much much better than that), and it’s that raw sound combined with his lovely country folk rock melodies that wins me over. Sample a little variety of his music below from his JUST released album Junky Star. Tell me it doesn’t make you want to crack a beer and watch the sun go down. Nice find Momma Wolf!!
